What is a limited liability company?
A limited liability company or LLC is a very advantageous way to structure a business for a non U.S. resident. LLC’s allow you to maximize your tax benefits as well as provide excellent liability protection.
How will your LLC maximize your tax benefits?
An LLC allows you to maximize your tax benefits by allowing flow through taxation meaning your taxes flow through to personal taxes rather than being taxed at the company level and so you’re only taxed one time. This flow through taxation differs from C corporations which are taxed twice – first on corporate profits and then on your personal income when you receive dividends from your profits. S corporations are only slightly better than a C corporation because you can have flow through taxes just like an LLC, however they do not provide the same level of flexibility that an LLC does
Why should an international business consider a U.S. based LLC in Delaware or Nevada?
International businesses can benefit from creating an LLC for their U.S. business presence not just for the tax advantages created by the LLC’s structure, but also by the low taxation rates that both states offer to companies that are not physically doing business in the state. For an international company looking to create a strong U.S. presence, the benefit of locating your business in a tax friendly offshore location which also provides the possibility to take advantage of receiving payments to an American bank, makes it very appealing to create your LLC in one of the two states.

Miami Offshore Services is a new sponsor of the team of Thomas Privé & Patrice Zurro in the 2008 French Gravel Rally Championship. The team currently is in the lead in their class and is expected to win the 2008 Championship.

C’est un euphémisme : le rallye n’a pas le vent en poupe chez nous. Malgré la présence d’un authentique phénomène portant les couleurs françaises au sommet de la discipline depuis 4 ans, le rallye est loin d’avoir l’écho qu’il mérite dans les médias. Pourtant, il est et reste un sport populaire majeur. Malheureusement, les filières d’accès au plus haut niveau se résument à l’importance du porte-feuille du pilote ambitieux.
Comme si le talent se mesurait à la seule capacité de séduire des sponsors et pas à aborder un double gauche à fond sur un chemin forestier finlandais !
Malgré cela, le talent de certains arrive à s’exprimer tout de même à force de passion et de sacrifices. Malheureusement, il faut avoir l’œil aux aguets pour distinguer une performance “anormalement talentueuse” d’un rallye simplement maitrisé grâce à un bon coup de volant et un matériel de pointe.
Cela méritait d’être mis en lumière : Thomas Privé, tout juste 20 ans, vient de signer 2 grosses perfs lors du championnat de France des rallye sur terre. Rencontre.
Pilote précoce
Malgré son jeune âge, on ne peut pas dire que le garçon débute. Dès 14 ans, il s’initie au pilotage sur des Crosscar Fouquet dans quelques épreuves de la Coupe de France de Kartcross. À 16 ans, il prend sa licence Rallye Tout-terrain et à 17 ans, il arsouille parfois au volant d’un buggy Fouquet de 280 ch.
Pour poursuivre dans les épreuves exotiques, Thomas Privé s’engage aussi au Trophée Andros où il fait quelques courses, notamment grâce à la famille Stievenard.
Mais voilà, la majorité approche et Thomas Privé en homme pressé qu’il est ne va pas attendre longtemps avant de passer aux choses sérieuses. À 18 ans et 1 mois, permis en poche, il s’engage au Rallye d’Antibes dans la Coupe 206. Nous sommes fin 2005. En 2006, il fait une partie de la Coupe 206 Mixte et le Terre de Vaucluse au volant d’une Mitsubishi GrN.
Précisons tout de suite que Thomas est loin d’être suivi par une ribambelle de mécènes aux bourses pleines. La famille tient une concession Mitsubishi et c’est tout. Il est comme des centaines de gars avant lui, un passionné qui se débrouille. Si son choix va aux épreuves sur terre, c’est que les rallyes de ce championnat ne dure que 2 jours, ce qui permet de ne pas amputer la semaine de boulot (En ‘asphalte’, ça débute le jeudi ou le vendredi).
